Create a new folder and name it this:
GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

Now click on it, congrats you've unlocked God Mode :P

(Yeah supposively first appeared in Windows 98SE but I just discovered it today lol)

This is incredibly helpful, especially since I'm back and forth between XP, Vista and 7. It will be a useful management asset.

Edit: And the only reason it says "GodMode" is because that's what some kid started popularizing it with. He just tagged the name on to the beginning of the string.

Yeah you can name it whatever you want, I just didn't find out about it until someone else showed me.

Also supposively it'll cause BSOD's on 64 bit systems so beware.

Yep, I have 7 Pro 64-bit. I haven't used a link from GodMode yet, but I'm sure it'll be fine. But if anything happens; I always say, "...just format it!"

Can someone please tell me what it exactly does?

When i create a folder and rename it i just give me the "Open with" option.

It gives you access to all sorts of useful back-door control panels. The reason it's so handy is that it's all in one place.

You should just be able to create a new folder, select it and hit the F2 key to rename it. And paste this in: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

It's probably best that you do this on your Desktop so you don't lose track of it. Problems occur when you lose track of it and worms gain access to all your back-door stuff (happened on my old Windows 7, 64-bit).
