Ive been working on a concept mixtape (compilation/underground/unofficial/street album for the uninitiated), that basically went through 3 re-recordings, and a name/cover/concept change, but i think im finally almost through with it. so I'm dropping a few tracks from it, along with cutting room floor ones for whatever guinea pigs willing to eat them up.

the title is Cupid's Requiem: You Know Who You Are. the concept/themes are emotions, first love, heartbreak, and all that good stuff.

As you may or may not have noticed, I keep cryptically talking about making a mixtape in status messages. so I decided to enlighten those who are interested.

It isn't just a bunch of random songs and freestyles strung together (though I may be working on something like that as well), I tried keeping a concept and cohiesiveness on it. the main themes are emotions, the experiences that come with first love, and heartbreak, and all that good stuff.

It's a small idea from the back of my notebook, some thoughts, and personal experiences, come to fruition. I've had some of these songs written over the past 2 years. I actually omitted some that were too harsh/personal, to make it alot more accessible and relatable.

I'm not gonna lie, it's not gonna be super-clean studio quality, I dont have a 100K studio setup. but if you've listened to any of my tracks before know what to expect, maybe a bit better than that. I've delayed this many many times, trying to make it as good as i can. I originally meant to have this done in December 2009, but we know how that worked out.

Even if everyone likes it, or everyone hates it, I'm proud to call this my work. At least I'm trying, which is more to say than alot of people can.

and yes, it will be free. kinda have to go promotion-only with all the jackin-for-beats I did. (stuff from 40, VTZ, Diddy, RJD2, Brian Tyler, Kanye, and a couple 50 Cent beats.)
