A short screenplay I did. Timeless. Not as epic of a production as Boy Who Cried Wolfe, but just as enjoyable I think.

Also I made Bully Joel into a 2 page screenplay.

Latest version updated.

Timeless is very good! The attention to the small details of how nothing works. The passage of time is really smooth and easy to follow. One thing I don't completely understand, though; Does the Gravedigger open the casket? Or does the lantern falling, scare him?

Bully Joel is hilarious. Except for the change you made where everyone recognizes him. I'm not sure if it's a good move for everyone to recognize him as Billy Joel so soon ..Just a thought.

He doesn't open it. It's all about this sort of foolish looking for time. He's old and needs more time, and he's looking in the last place he should ever look for time. The name on the headstone says it all. "Free man". Mr. Freeman is unburdened by the weight of time. The lantern brings him back though to his watch (which is broken) and nothing is really resolved but it ends where it needs to.

I can take away the recognition in Bully Joel.

Haha alright so I make Timeless flesh out a little bit more. The payoff is that the watch is broken. He sees the widow standing there. Long awkward pause. And instead of screaming or hitting him she begins to cry, which is in her character. She doesn't stop crying. So now he's set with the task of showing affection and sympathy by slowly walking toward her, slowly putting his arms out to hug her and she squeezes him tightly. He pats her back because what else do you do?

He then looks at his watch.

Broken.

He starts to cry.

Hahaha wow, as if he cares more about his broken watch than her loss. That's good.

My professor LOVED Timeless!! I did a class reading and he started applauding when I finished. He said "I'm going to put this screenplay in my archives. It's a perfect example of visual narrative. No dialog necessary." and mind you, Professor Nolin passed on screenplays to the head of Paramount, he's a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures of America (there are a lot of members throughout the US but still someone who has a voice for voting for Best Picture). He compares our work with award winners.
I struck gold!

Awesome!
As I said, reading your screenplays is like reading a good book (and I usually hate reading). Haha, he'll probably be reading your screenplays to his future students.

My friend's at the Cannes Film Festival right now and he met the assistant of Scott Rudin, who's produced an impressive list of movies in the past decade: Royal Tenenbaums, Life Aquatic, There Will Be Blood, No Country For Old Men, The Queen, Doubt, Revolutionary Road, and even Team America: World Police haha. Well the assistant loved my idea for
Timeless and he's bringing it up to Rudin to gain interest in financing the short film.

Woah, awesome. Could we be watching "A Film By Nicholas Begnaud" in a few years? That would be weird/crazy/awesome.

Scott Rudin says he wants to produce it. I have an option. Either he pays me for the script and I have my name as a screenwriter or he'll finance while I direct the project. Either way, he'll see it through and get it into the Cannes Film Festival next year. This is looking good.

No way, he's a producer I've actually heard of!! Sounds like you've got a pretty big project ahead of you.
Hopefully all goes well with getting this made. It would be unreal to see your work make it big!
