Introducing: Jumbo Muncher!

What is Jumbo Muncher?
Jumbo Muncher was an ad campaign for 3M from the 1980s. My brother-in-law's dad has worked for 3M since then and has had a beat-up Jumbo Muncher tee shirt ever since. So we decided to see if Jumbo Muncher still had rights. According to 3M, they researched and said that it, "is under no form of copyright to our knowledge". Naturally, I redesigned it and we bought the name, JumboMuncher.com. We have all kinds of ideas for this to be a brand name from clothing to golf clubs and everything in between.


The site is bought and Jumbo Muncher is under a restrictive creative commons media copyright and will soon be pending full copyright.

Interesting! But why do we want it? Are there benefits getting these rights?

EDIT:It would be interesting if there were a kidnapping movie, only they're holding the rights of something dear to someone else for ransom.

The benefit is just pure enjoyment. We just want to put it on all this stuff and throw around loads of hype so that people will think "what the hell is all this?" Just that reaction is what we're aiming for. We'll make it look grand and prestigious for the upper class demographic. Tom, my brother-in-law who is launching this with me, is a real big golfer and wants to put it on some of his really expensive clubs and putters, even his golf bag. I'm going to try and get a chrome-plated Jumbo Muncher symbol for the front and back of my car, replacing only the center of the Chrysler symbol, leaving the winged part.
We're going to do with Jumbo Muncher, what 3M couldn't.
