This is just me messing around with Fireworks. Comments appreciated.

Looks pretty good, actually. Oh, and major props for using Fireworks! That's what I use to do ANYTHING with webdesign, logos etc.
Only improvements I have is to possibly put a rectangle with a linear gradient on top of the reflection and use the "erase" blending mode to make it fade away.
(the gradient would be something like Black, 100% alpha to Black, 0% alpha; vertical)
You may want to try a few different fonts once you do this, because there are many others that would look cool in this composition.

EDIT: I tried to put the image in your post into a div with a white background, but it wouldn't work for some reason... (I even have HTML enabled)

With the Host Mist logo, try to fade the reflection to a diffused image the further it goes from the source. Think of polished reflective flooring or, similarly, the sharpness of a shadow with a source being closer as opposed to further from the surface being blocked by light. It gives spacial relations and so a sense of depth.
